I'm **Pakulichev**, a developer. Today I build web services; before that I spent years making mods and servers for GTA: San Andreas. In that community I'm also known as **ImPasha** (the current name of my BLAST.HK account) and **Pavel_Garson**, the nickname I played under on Advance RP.

I'm the author or co-author of [SL:MP](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/sl-mp), [Police Tools](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/police-tools), [ImGUI Editor](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/imgui-editor) and [SNET](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/snet), a former moderator of the [BLAST.HK](https://pakulichev.com/en/blasthk) forum and a sponsor of The SA:MP Coder contest.

## How I got into development

It started with SA:MP role-play servers. I played as a police officer on **Advance RP**, there was a lot of routine, and in **late 2017** I started writing **Police Tools**. It was my first big Lua script, and I was only just learning Lua at the time. A year later the project had about 10,000 lines of code, and even users of paid competitors were switching to it.

Around the same time, on October 28, 2017, I registered on **BLAST.HK**. I published source code, answered questions and eventually became a forum moderator.

## From scripts to networking and servers

By 2019–2020 I was more interested in architecture and networking than in individual scripts. In those years I:

- wrote an interpreter for my own language, "Simple Language";
- built **SL:MP** with SEVEN, a GTA: San Andreas multiplayer written entirely in Lua, with a LuaJIT server for Windows and Linux and its own UDP protocol;
- moved the networking code into a separate library, **SNET**;
- wrote the **ImGUI Editor** visual UI editor in C++.

## KITTEN DEV TEAM

In the SA:MP community I had my own developer group, **KITTEN DEV TEAM**. That's where the cat in this site's logo comes from; its eyes are two text cursors.

## Web development

Over time the **web** became my main work: **Node.js** and **PHP** backends, APIs, messenger bots, databases and Linux servers. Closer to the web were the [live SA:MP map in the browser](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/samp-web-map), built with ca4tuk and Conradk10, and the [BlastPHP](https://pakulichev.com/en/projects/blastphp) PHP library for the forum.
